CTC Scotland - what is it?

 in Scotland

At local level CTC members form District Associations (DAs), which also have many of the attributes of a Cycling Club - organising runs, tours, competitive events and training, as well as campaigning for cycling at a local level.

CTC Scotland brings together representatives of these DAs and other organisations to discuss and deal with matters relating to cycling in Scotland.

There are many local cycling clubs and several cycle campaigning groups in Scotland and the rest of the UK. CTC is the one body which embraces all kinds of cycle use and interests.

 in the UK

CTC covers the UK. There is only membership of CTC (various types). When you join CTC you are automatically a member of your local Regional Group and of your local District Association or Section with no further fees payable. Look on the CTC web site for details of membership and instructions how to join.

Cycletalk

CTC Scotland produces a news-sheet which is circulated to members with the bi-monthly magazine Cycle. You can read this here. You can also sign up to receive an email when a new issue is released (even if you are not a CTC member!).
